CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University will hosts its ninth annual Athletic Booster Club Dinner/Auction on Thursday, Aug. 8 at 6 p.m. in the Winters Dining Hall.

The annual event will begin at 6 p.m. with the silent auction items (approximately 20) open for bid and the meal scheduled to start at 6:30 in the Winters Dining Hall on campus. Toward the end of the meal, a live auction will feature approximately 30 items, which include sports collectibles, golf outings and vacation destinations. One new item for this year's auction will be an autographed jersey by Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens quarterback and Super Bowl XLVII MVP.

Pioneer College Caterers will once again provide the meal for the auction with a surf and turf menu.

Cost for the event is $25 per person and the attire is business casual. Tickets are on sale now through Aug. 2.

Tickets may be purchased from Campbellsville University coaches and athletic staff members, Big Maroon Club members, and the CU office of development.

In addition to ticket sales and auction bids, monies are raised through event sponsorships. There are three sponsorships levels available: a Gold sponsorship of $500, Silver of $250 and Bronze of $125.

All proceeds from the night go to Campbellsville University's 25 varsity athletic programs for 2013-2014. Last year's event, which annually kicks off the CU athletic season, raised a net of $18,000. This year's goal is $20,000.

For more information on tickets, becoming a sponsor or donating an auction item, contact Chuck Vaughn, director of the Big Maroon Club, at 270-789-5149 or by email at cbvaughn@campbellsville.edu.
