19th year Head Coach Beauford Sanders announces the release of the 2009 schedule

19th year Head Coach Beauford Sanders has announced the 2009 Campbellsville University baseball schedule has been released.  It is by far the most extensive schedule the Tigers have had as they will play 58 regular season games against opponents of all levels.  The team will open up their season on the road for the first time in three years as they will travel south to take on Faulkner University and Auburn University in Alabama.  They will open up on the 13th of February for the four game spit series.  They will then head home for their home opener against Asbury University on the 17th of February.

After their first home series, the Tigers will be hosting the Anual Cancer Classic Tournament which guarantees them at least four games.  They will follow the tournament by heading to Frankfort to take on NCAA DII  Kentucky State.  February proves to be an exciting month for the Tigers as they will finish the month with weekend series hosting Spring Arbor University and Lindenwood University, both NAIA World Series representatives.

The team will kick off the beginning of March with a midweek tune up against Huntington before their conference opener where they will host Georgetown for a four game series.  They will follow that with a four game series at Cumberlands and the rest of their conference opponents.  Other non conference opponents include Trevecca Nazarene, Indiana University S.E., Union College, Union University, and Cumberland University.  The Tigers will conclude their regular season hosting regional rival Cumberland University on the 26th of April with the MSC tournament to follow.
