Spencer Frantz is another Junior College signee that could make an instant impact.

Three more recruits have announced their commitments to play baseball at Campbellsville University in the 2008-2009 school year.  Two more pitchers will join the staff and another position player will come on board.  All three of the signees are junior college transfers and will all be expected to make instant impacts.  The total number of off season signees is up to 15 players, with 13 of those players transferring from junior colleges.  Again, three different states are represented in this bunch (California, Florida, and Oregon).  The three recruits are:

Spencer Frantz, UTIL, Chemekita Junior College, Salem, Oregon:

Utility man Spencer Frantz will join the Tiger's mix and will be a welcomed addition.  He is known as being an extremely versatile player as he is capable of playing all eight defensive positions.  Primarily an infielder, Frantz can also be an option as a corner outfielder and can catch.  He played his freshman year at Bethany University (CA) where he saw most of his action at third base.  He then played his sophomore season at Chemekita and saw time at short and first.
-Coach Sanders on the signing of Spencer Frantz: "I am very impressed with Spencer on all levels.  His primary concern is what is best for the team and that is why I know he will be a great fit for us.  He is a great athlete and his versatility will be welcomed."

Skylar Brewar, RHP/OF, Skyline Community College, Pacifica, California:

Skylar Brewar has committed to the Tigers for the 2009 season after serving as duel player for Skyline Community College.  Prior to his sophomore season, Brewar pitched at NCAA Div-1 Sacramento State.  Brewar is 6-4, 215 pounds and offers a good hard fast ball that touches 90 mph.  He will also compete for a spot in the outfield for the Tigers as he possesses tremendous power.
-Coach Sanders on the signing of Skylar Brewar: "The sky is the limit for Skylar.  He has a great build and will continue to get better.  We expect him to help us a great deal on the mound and with the bat."

Justin Berman, LHP, Palm Beach Community College, Palm Beach, Florida:

The coaching staff is thrilled to announce the signing of Justin Berman as he will add even more depth to an already deep pitching staff.  The lefty will transfer after playing at Palm Beach Community College (FL).  Berman sits in the mid to upper 80's and will be able to compete for a great deal of time on the mound.
-Coach Sanders on the signing of Justin Berman: "Adding another lefty to the mix is huge for us as we finish up recruiting.  Justin has a live arm and has good stuff.  He will get better with time and we anticipate him being a difference maker right away."
