Campbellsville, Kentucky - Two former high school soccer rivals will become teammates next season for Coach Adam Preston at Campbellsville University.
Alen Karapandzic from Danville High School and Eric Sheaks from Boyle County High School both signed last week to play college soccer for the Tigers beginning in the fall.

Karapandzic considered several NCAA Division II & III schools along with many other NAIA schools before choosing Campbellsville.
He was a first team All-State selection last year and tied for sixth place in the state in scoring with 27 goals in 24 games as he helped the Admirals go 18-5-2 and reach the state tournament quarterfinals. He finished his high school career as the second leading scorer in Admiral history with 73 goals, just three behind the all-time leader and hols the school record for career points with 170.
"Alen is a great addition to our program and will contribute for us immediately as we strive to move our program up in the Mid-South Conference and NAIA. I'm very excited that he chose Campbellsville over the many options that he had and really believe he is the kind of player that can help take us to the next level," said Preston.
Eric Sheaks is a 6'1" defender from Boyle County High School. During his high school career Sheaks received the following awards:
2007: Defensive player of the year, Captains award, Academic All-State Honorable Mention, All-Conference, All-District, Team Captain, and 1 Goal
2006: Academic All-State Honorable Mention
2005: Academic All-State Honorable Mention and 1 Goal
"Eric will be a nice addition to our defense. He has good size and excellent instincts, with a good preseason he could end up earning significant playing time next season," said Preston.
