Lebanon, Tennessee -  After a 45-minute rain delay caused last night's suspended game to start late today, Cumberland University scored three runs in the top of the 9th inning to take an 8-5 lead in the quarterfinals of the NAIA Region XI Tournament.

The Bulldogs first two batters lined out and with two away Cumberland began it's damage.  Three straight hits, followed by a double scored the three runs and left the Tigers with a lot of work to do in the bottom of the 9th.

Campbellsville's Nathan Quesenberry continued to have a hot bat with a lead off homerun in the bottom of the ninth, but it would be the only hit for the Tigers in the inning as Campbellsville lost 8-6.

The Tigers now face a rematch with Trevecca in the quarterfinals of the loser's bracket.  That game is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. eastern time this afternoon, however heavy rains in the Lebanon, Tennessee area are threatening the schedule.  Updates will be posted here as they are made available.
