Campbellsville, KY In beginning what will be only its fourth year of competition, the Campbellsville University Wrestling Team finds itself the top ranked team in the nation according to the NAIA Preseason National Wrestling Ratings that were released today.

Campbellsville, which produced a National Champion in the 149# weight class last season when Zach Flake won the title, has two wrestlers ranked at the top of their weight class and a total of six wrestlers ranked in the top 8 of the ten weight divisions.

Flake is ranked first in the 149 pound weight division while David Clemens is ranked first in the 157 pound weight class.

Other ranked Tigers include Kaci Payne, ranked 7th in the 133 pound division; Jacob Murton is ranked 2nd in the 141 pound division; Chris Branam is ranked 7th in the 174 pound weight class and Josh Deadrick is ranked 5th in the 197 pound division.

The Tigers open the season on November 2nd when they host West Virginia Tech.
