Campbellsville, Kentucky - Campbellsville's 2008 Football class of football recruits continues to grow as first-year head coach Perry Thomas and his staff continue to sign players.
"We're announcing the addition of six more players to our committments for 2008 and this brings our total up to 72 so far," said Thomas. The Tigers have been in Spring Practice during April, leading up to the Spring Game on April 26th.
The latest signings are from:
David Thomas Coffey, a 6'0", 179 lb. Linebacker/Tight End from Metcalfe County (KY) High School. Coffey had 108 tackles in 2007 and was ranked 10th in Class 2A in Receiving as a senior last year.
Brice Andrew Duncan, a 5'11", 168 lb. Linebacker from Hancock County (KY) High School. In 2007 Duncan broke the school record for most tackles in a season with 187 and had 505 tackles in his career which is the Hancokc County school record. He was a First-Team All Area selection from the Messenger-Inquirer in 2006 and 2007
Arsenial Dontez Herndon, a 6'3", 260 lb. Defensive End/Linebacker from Glasgow (KY) High School. Herndon was a three year letterman for the Scotties and was a 2nd Team All-District Player in 2007.
Derek Ethan Janes, a 6'2", 280 lb. Offensive Lineman from Green County (KY) High School. Janes was named to the All-District Team and won the Offensive Lineman Award for four seasons as a Dragon.
Jordan Leslie Stillwell, a 5'8", 155 lb. Wide Receiver/Defensive Back from Green County (KY) High School. Stillwell was an All-District and All-Region selection for the Dragons.
Jeffrey Lewis White, a 5'11", 170 lb. Wide Receiver/Defensive Back from Metcalfe County (KY) High School.
