Campbellsville, KY - Campbellsville University Head Football Coach Perry Thomas has announced the addition of eight signees for the 2008 football recruiting class.  "With these eight young men we are now up to a total of 66 new players, many of whom we believe will be able to step in and contribute to our success right away," he said.
In alphabetical order, the latest signees are:
 
Jonathan Todd Crowe, a 6'0", 225lb. Linebacker from Allen County/Scottsville (KY) High School.  Crowe was a two time All SKY Conference team member and was twice named the Patriots Defensive Lineman of the Year.  He had 55 tackles and three sacks during his senior season.
 
Jermaine La'Mar Dumas, a 5'11", 245 lb. Defensive Lineman from Owensboro Senior (KY) High School.
 
Austin Duane Hammons, a 6'0", 225 lb. Linebacker from Anderson County (KY) High School.  Hammons was team captain for the Bearcats his junior and senior seasons.  He was selected to the All-District First Team those two years and was an Honorable Mention All-State selection both seasons as well.  He was also the team Defensive MVP his senior season.
 
Weston K. Kemp, a 5'10", 205 lb. Running Back from Marion County (KY) High School.  Kemp was a three-sport athlete at Marion County as he participated in Cross Country and Track & Field along with football.  He was also Class President and maintained a 3.69 GPA.
 
Joshua Wayne McIntyre, a 6'0", 250 lb. Lineman from Carroll County (KY) High School.  McIntyre was a four year starter at Carroll County High and was the team captain his senior season.
 
Nathan Marret Riley, a 6'1", 250 lb. Offensive Tackle from Greenwood (KY) High School in Bowling Green.  Riley was the Offensive Lineman of the Year and a Second Team All-Conference Selection.  He was a two-year starter for the Gators.
 
Justin Ray Rushing, a 5'11", 165 lb. Wide Receiver from Evansville North (IN) High School.  He had 9 catches for 103 yards his senior season and also played Defense and recorded 20 tackles and a fumble recovery last year.  In 2006 he was named the Player of the Year for Special Teams on his high school squad.
 
Logan Christopher Russell, a 5'8", 160 lb. Wide Receiver/Defensive Back  from Fountain Run, Kentucky.  Rushing was the team Defensive Back of the Year at Allen County-Scottsville (KY) High School.  He had 30 tackles and 8 interceptions his senior year and also caught six passes for 65 yards.
