Kansas City, MO - The Campbellsville University Tiger Men's Basketball team, along with staff and University administration attended an Easter service this morning in the team's hotel that was conducted by team Chaplain and former C.U. player Justin Watson.

"When I thought about what to say this morning about  Easter Sunday, it occured to me that just a few weeks ago when we had lost three games in a row that everyone thought this team was finished," said Watson.  "But you have made it to the Fab Four and today we not only celebrate that, but more importantly we celebrate the most important day in Christianity, which is Easter Sunday and the resurrection of Jesus Christ," said Watson.

Tiger center Clint Graham read scripture and Campbellsville University President Dr. Michael V. Carter spoke to the team following Watson's message.   "This will be an Easter that you will one day tell your grandchildren about," he told the team.  "We have a lot to be thankful for and you are representing our University well," Carter added.

Today the Tiger team has a full slate of scheduled events.   Followng the Easter service and breakfast, the team went to shoot around at the Municipal Auditorium at noon and is scheduled to interact with kids from the Special Olympics in an event at the arena at 3:00 p.m.  Add to that team meetings in preparation for tomorrow night's semi-final game and maybe another light practice tonight and the team is keeping busy.

"Sunrise on Easter in Kansas City is a beautiful thing to see, especially when our guys are getting ready to play in the National Tournament Fab Four" said C.U. Director of Athletics Rusty Hollingsworth.   "I think it speaks volumes about our guys that they all wanted to attend an Easter Service in the midst of preparing for the most important games in their collegiate careers," he concluded.
