CU football opens under the lights on Saturday, Aug. 28
Hundreds of fall sport athletes reported to Campbellsville University over the weekend in preparation for the beginning of eight 2010 fall sports seasons.

Members of teams from football, volleyball and mens' and women's golf, soccer and cross country began preparations for their season openers.

Men's and women's soccer will christen the new turf at Finley Stadium with a double-header match Saturday, Aug. 21 against Thomas More. The women's game starts at 4:30.

Volleyball begins play in the two-day Malone University (Canton, Ohio) University on Friday, Aug. 27.

Men's golf is next with a Saturday, Aug. 28 Presidents Cup matchup with Lindsey Wilson at Campbellsville Country Club. That evening at 7:00, on the new Finley Stadium turf, the Fighting Tiger football team will host Kentucky Christian.

Cross Country breaks its maiden on Saturday, Sept. 4 when the Tiger men and women travel to Franklin, Ind. and the Sodexo Invitational.

Women's golf will participate in the three-day Don Bishop Invitational at Campbellsville Country Club for it only fall match.
