Three of Campbellsville University's softball recruits played in the Kentucky vs. Tennessee All-Star Game held July 1 on the campus of Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green.

Although the Tennessee stars won both games -- 2-0 and 3-2 -- the future Tiger players were significant contributors.

Anderson County's Courtney Turpin was  1 for 3 and reached on an error in the second game and pitched four innings of the second game. She gave up a run, three hits, two walks while striking out three. She shouldered the loss.

In game one, Turpin and Harrison County's Rachel Hatfield had back-to-back singles before being stranded to end the fifth. In the seventh, Hatfield successfully advanced two more base runners only to have them stranded as well.

CU's other signee, Lexington Lafayette's Heather Oakley, was 0-2 with a walk and a sacrifice bunt. She scored one of the two Kentucky runs in the 3-2 defeat.
