Campbellsville wrestling home matches are usually under the spotlight in Gosser Gym.

If you missed Campbellsville University wrestling's only home dual under the spotlight last season, then you'll have your chance to be a part of the great atmosphere this November.

The Tigers have four home dates on the 2010-2011 schedule, the most since the 2007-08 season. CU will open its season with a Nov. 5 home tri-match in Gosser Gym against Central Baptist College (Ark.) and Ohio Valley College (W.Va.). The next week, the Tigers will host Cumberland University in a dual Nov. 11 and follow up with a Friday night, Nov. 12 tri-match against the University of the Cumberlands and Lindsey Wilson College.

CU will wrestle a total of 12 duals in addition to the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) National Duals in Cedar Falls, Iowa June 8-9. The Tigers will also compete in four tournaments: King College Open (Nov. 14), Ohio Northern Invitational (Dec. 4), Midwest Classic (Dec. 18-19) and the Missouri Valley Invitational (Jan. 22).

The Mid-South Conference championship event will be a tournament this season instead of a conference duals event like it was in 2009-10. Cumberland University will host the MSC Tournament in Lebanon, Tenn., Feb. 12. The following week, CU will travel to St. Charles, Mo., for the NAIA Eastern Qualifier and then will close the season March 4-6 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at the NAIA National Championships.

The complete schedule can be found, here.

Joining CU for the 2010-2011 season will be 10 new wrestlers and the return of a three-time NAIA All-American. CU is expected to add a few more before the season begins.

David Clemens (Campbellsville Univ. / Beaver Creek, Ohio) -- Clemens, a three-time NAIA All-American for CU from 2006-08 will make his return to the Tigers' mat. He has spent the last two years away from school, but has decided to return for his senior season and complete his degree. He was a 2007 NAIA runner-up at 157 pounds, but looks to move up to either 165 pounds or 174 pounds as he tries to become the first CU wrestler to be a four-time All-American. In 2007 he was also named the Most Outstanding Wrestler at the NWCA National Duals.

Quinten Brooks (Lawrence North High School / Indianapolis, Ind.)
