Hilary Cebulko, Tiger cross country coach, signed a couple of male runners recently, both with local connections.

Signing letters of intent were Bradley Harris and Stephen Adams from Campbellsville and Taylor County highs, respectively.

Harris is new to running after Campbellsville started a cross country team his senior year. He has run a 2:10 800-meters, 5:50 mile and 18:51 5K, according to Cebulko.

"Bradley is an excellent student and CU got a great kid," said his track coach Katie Wilkerson. "He is very dedicated and his best races are ahead of him."

Adams ran cross country for Nelson County for four years before transferring to Taylor County his senior year. But because of KHSAA transfer rules he has not been able to run competitively for the Cardinals.

His former high school coach, Dan Bradley, said: "If given the opportunity Stephen will respond to training that will max him out."

Before transferring, Adams was clocked at 17:26 for a 5K.

"He has some God-given talent and is definitely moldable. He's competitive and will try hard to improve," said Bradley.
