Campbellsville University track and field coach Joe Stockton announced Tuesday the signing of Lyon County High School jumper Tim Perdue. Perdue won the 2010 Mason Dixon Indoor Championship for long jump

In 2009, Perdue finished fourth in the Class 1A Outdoor Track and Field Championships for long jump and was second in triple jump.

Perdue won two state titles while in eighth grade. He was the Kentucky middle school indoor long jump champion and the triple jump outdoor state champion. In 2008, Perdue was fourth in the Kentucky state meet for triple jump and fifth in long jump. Gaining one spot last year, he hopes to have a shot at a state title this spring. He was also an Academic All-State selection in 2007 and 2008.
